One of the best authentic Mexican meals you will find in any of the Philly suburbs is located within a small strip mall in Broad Axe (Blue Bell), Montgomery County. Tamarindo's has a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere, with bright colors and Mexican artifacts as part of the decor, and a most wonderful menu.  The selections are from Yucatecan recipes, which are based on both Mexican and European influences, creating a more "gourmet" taste than the standard Tex-Mex variety. The specialty of the house is a whole red snapper, drenched in flavorful spices and garlic. Add to that, the amazingly delicious, potent, and most importantly, FREE Margaritas that they serve, and Tamarindo's will become a favorite spot for years to come. The wait can be quite long on weekends, but again, well worth it.

Tamarindo's is as authentic as is gets in the Western suburbs of Philadelphia for Mexican cuisine. This family friendly restaurant produces consistently good Yucatecan influenced specialties such as whole red snapper, home made guacamole, roasted meats adorned with traditional Mexican flavors and do not forget about the FREE Margaritas! Ole!

The Margaritas are free, that's correct, we said FREE! That fact may lead you to think watered down, flavorless, limited quantities, yadda, yadda. No WAY! The Margaritas are amazing, potent, plentiful, and did we mention FREE?
Fondue
This is not your grandmother's fish! The Mexican preparation of a whole red snapper is as good as it gets if you are a fan of traditional Mexican cuisine. At Tamarindo's, this is one of the best dishes on the menu assuming, of course, that you love garlic!
Neighborhood Favorite
Most locals are aware of this wonderful "gourmet" Mexican restaurant located in a small strip mall in Broad Axe (Skippack), so be prepared for crowds, especially on weekends. The menu is a nice selection of freshly prepared, Yucatecan influenced (Mexican and European) dishes. The wait staff is usually friendly and attentive. The complementary margaritas add a nice touch (and "kick") to any of the choices. The house specialty is a whole red snapper with tons of taste! You will soon become a regular at this neighborhood "gem."
Take Out
The authentic Mexican fair at Tamarindo's in Blue Bell is the best in the area. With its enormous popularity sometimes it's just as nice to take the food home with you.
